Coilovers replace your factory front struts entirely with a height-adjustable monotube assembly, which gives you precise lift adjustment and better ride than spacer-based kits. Shocks (with separate springs) are common on rear axles and on solid front axle trucks. Reservoir shocks add fluid capacity for sustained off-road use without fade. Bypass shocks are race-tunable for serious builds.
