Shipping policy
Tru Automotive Shipping Policy
Tru Automotive ships throughout the continental United States. Shipping rates, transit times, and carrier selection vary by manufacturer because most products on truautomotive.com are drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer.
Order processing
In-stock orders are submitted to the manufacturer within one business day of purchase. Most manufacturers ship within 1 to 3 business days of receiving the order. Some custom-built products, long-travel suspension kits, and made-to-order items have a longer build time, which is noted on the product page where applicable.
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once the manufacturer ships your order.
Shipping rates
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the manufacturer of each product in your cart. Some manufacturers offer free shipping on all orders, others offer free shipping above a threshold, and others charge a flat rate or weight-based rate.
If your cart contains products from multiple manufacturers, each manufacturer's rate is applied separately and combined into a single total at checkout. The total is calculated and displayed before you confirm the order.
Free shipping
The following brands ship free to the continental United States with no minimum:
- Fox
- King
- AlphaRex
The following brands ship free above an order threshold:
- ICON Vehicle Dynamics: free over $199, otherwise $8.91 ground
- Magnaflow: free over $25 in the continental U.S.
Heavy and oversized items
Some items including bumpers, full lift kits, gear sets, drive shafts, and roof racks ship via LTL freight rather than parcel carriers. Freight shipments require a phone number for the freight carrier to schedule delivery, and most freight deliveries are curbside only. We will provide a freight quote at checkout or, for large quotes, contact you to confirm shipping cost before charging your card.
Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and international
We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states and U.S. territories. Hawaii, Alaska, and territory shipments are subject to additional shipping charges that are calculated at checkout. International shipping (outside the U.S.) is currently not offered through truautomotive.com.
Signature on delivery
Some manufacturers including Magnaflow require a signature on delivery for orders over $500. The carrier will leave a delivery notice if no one is available to sign for the package.
Damaged shipments
Inspect every shipment immediately on delivery. If a package arrives with visible damage to the box or freight pallet:
- Note the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.
- Photograph the damage to the packaging and to the product.
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can file a damage claim with the manufacturer or carrier.
Damage claims filed after 7 days, without photos, or without notation on the delivery receipt are difficult for manufacturers and carriers to honor.
Order tracking
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information when your order ships. If you have not received tracking information within 5 business days of ordering, contact us at austint@truautomotive.com or (303) 954-8836 and we will follow up with the manufacturer.
Pickup at our Denver shop
For products that Tru Automotive stocks in-shop, including the Tru Race Team merchandise line and select inventory items, you may select pickup at the Denver shop at checkout. Drop-shipped products are not eligible for shop pickup.
