This frame plate kit is made from 10 gauge steel and reinforces the GM 1500 frame rails from the firewall to the coil buckets. It's highly recommended for vehicles being offroaded because it adds a lot of strength to a high stress area on the frame. For additional strength we recommend making a custom cross over bar from coil bucket to coil bucket along with these frame plates.
